Yes, this powerful word ' KALAMISM' litterally means the preachings and thoughts of one of the most honorouble man of india, Honourable Dr Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, that one can follow to empower themselves and also to take part in the nation building. The vibrant visionary thoughts with viable mission modes of President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam have now become a phenomenon in Indian public life. His autobiography, wings of fire, has impacted almost every Indian thought. His interactions with young people have ignited their minds to unlease their latent potent power so as to widen their positive nation building activities. Dr. Kalam envisions an empowered and developed India by 2020 through competitive and innovative technology-driven societal transformation.
In my own ways of defining KALAMISM, i would describe it as the word to be meant and felt as the realising the godness in oneself and enlightening lives. His life has all kind of twists and turns that truely inspires every one to fight hard. This new mantra can be followed by everyone of us to come up good in life. From almost nothing, he and his most eminent group of scientists(including Vikram Sarabhai, sathish dhawan and Brahm prakash whom kalam describes as his great inspirations in his Autobiography, Wings of Fire) brought the country in realising self-sufficieny in space and missile technology. From this point we astonishingly turn back and see how such an incredible achievement has been done, from a very miserable situation that indian space science were to face in the 1960's. It was the time when all the technology superpowers around the world dominated entire supremacy of space science and we were neglected from acquiring these technologies as it would become the platform for the nation to development. I feel the growth story of this nation started its root from this great achievement, which gave the indians a ray of hope to think about their optimistic future and beyond. It created strong thoughts in the minds of great people who are working round the clock to empower large sections of our crowd. This had led the nation to excel and achieve greater heights in the fields like Information technology, Biotechnology, Automobiles, Pharmaceuticals, etc. So the life that kalam has adopted has preached this world with new mantra for all those young minds who are to build this nation.
Dr. Kalam has a simplicity and humility which instantly endears him to all who come into contact with him. His social dialogues break conventional barriers and build bridges of new human relations in a pluralistic society. It is unheard in the history of post-independent India that a President of India is so committed to spearhead a social revolution as Dr. Kalam.The Father of missile technology in India and the eleventh President of the Indian Republic, Padam Bushan, Padam Vibushan, Bharat Ratana, Mr Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam is an institution in itself. In my personal view as Gandhism is a way of life leading to non-violence, similarly it will be exaggeration of facts if KALAMISM is also adopted as an ideology of life especially by young scientists, engineers, professionals and citizens of the country. A handful of Kalam's can change the destiny of the nation. If even a few of us adopt a fraction of Kalamism the whole nation will change.

It is the only capability in handling all the situations alike and remain committed to work which makes you an able leader and separates you from the rest.
